On Nepalese Ambassador for Israil Dr. Anjan Shakya’s birthday, she met in Israil with family of the late Or Ashraf, the Israeli backpacker who lost his life during 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

He was the only Israeli casualty of the massive earthquake and was hiking in Langtang region of Nepal, when the quack struck.

The Ashraf family, in his memory, has built “Or Asraf Lookout” in Lahav forest where Or used to hangout with his friends. At the Lookout, There is a plaza paved with stone, which has left twist of land symbolizing the Langtang river.

The Lookout, which has mesmerizing view, is developing as a picnic spot.We pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul.
