Pathibhara Devi or Mukkumlung (locally) is one of the most important Hindu deity shrines in Nepal, on Taplejung Hill.  It is also regarded as one of Kirat’s holy locations.

Pathivara temple is the most renowned pilgrimage site and view point located at 3,750 m in the eastern Nepal. The animist goddess of aboriginal Limbus are worshiped by Hindus and Buddhists as well.

Pathivara temple is located in the foothills of Kanchanjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. From Kakarbhitta border of eastern Nepal, it is about 256 km north and from Kathmandu, Pathivara temple is 692 km. Dirt road has been extended further from Suketar, the district capital of Taplejung.

Travelers still need to trek for about 3 – 5 hrs. to reach the temple. The temple premises unfolds brilliant view of Kanchenjunga and surrounding mountains.
